Lions Coon Creek Park
Coon Rapids Lions Park
This popular park located on Hanson Blvd. near Highway 10 contains the city's largest play structure. The park is also well known for its trails and access to the Sand Creek/Coon Creek Trail system. The park features 3 picnic shelters available for rent, a concession building operated during the summer months, 2 softball fields, basketball courts, a volleyball court, and a wonderful memorial garden to view and enjoy. The park is accessible from Hanson Blvd. and contains a large parking lot for visitors.
I thought we could use a few more caches to bring people to this great park. Fun times with the kids, great views of the creek, and nice walking paths that extend for miles.
DO NOT PARK ON NORTHDALE BLVD. Use the parking lot, that's what it's for.
Terrain rating might be higher depending on the time of year.
Watch for muggles. They'll sneak up on you from all directions!
Please replace cache better than you found it to maintain difficulty level.
