*****PBGV - Petite Basset Griffon Vendeen*****
This cache is a seed from MAMD's "300 DOGS" cache. We have always been interested in the PBGV breed. They are very similar in temperment to a Basset or a Beagle.
"The PBGV is a pack dog, one of 28 French hound breeds, with a natural rough wiry coat and outgoing, active and independent personality. The breed traces its origins back about 400 years, and is the shortest of the four Griffons VendŽens breeds, hence the "petit" (meaning "small") in his name. This happy, extroverted dog has a good voice, which he uses freely. The breed was recognized in 1991. He is a busy dog who requires adequate exercise on a daily basis to be on his best behavior. Though cute, he doesn't live a sedentary lifestyle."
Located in a Multi Use Public area used for training hunting dogs, hunting, fishing, hiking and geocaching. This area is located off 101 in Exeter. Take exit 9. Turn at the under pass that crosses 101 park to the side of the gate. This area is open to HUNTING.
In keeping with MAMD's 300 DOG cache (ref GC1984N).
