A Way to Namadgi Traditional Geocache

Its tough terrain around these parts of the woods.
There are a few caches in these parts that are tough, really tough. This one is another, but not as tough as "his".
I have placed this cache near the edge of the woods so there is not countless kms of bush hiking to get to it, but there is a climb. The climb is from 1100m to 1500m over 1 km.
This is one of those areas where there were bush fires and a lot of trees were burnt. Sounds like most parts of Namadgi. After the bush fires there was a huge growth of saplings. These saplings have all grown to around 2 to 4 metres high but are quite thin. It is now survival of the fittest to who will grow to be the large trees of the forest. When you get a couple of storms in the area, those that don't have strong roots topple over. You then have this mat of criss crossed sticks.
A lot of these criss-cross mats you can push yourself through. Sometimes you get areas of thicker stronger ones and you just can't push them, so you have to climb them.
A huge tree fell while we were there. No wind at all, just a loud crash about 50 metres away. Be careful out there.
Once you get to the top you will have a great view out the east from a nice clear rock platform. Here you can find the cache. An easy find.
Only a short bush bash away at (S 35° 42.301 E 148° 55.911), you will have an even better view out to the west including Mt Namadgi, where "he" put "his" cache and also "his" Rocky Heights cache. A wonderful view this one.
The easiest way back is the way you came. At least easier than to the west. But feel free to continue on to get more caches in that direction.
I parked the car at the Yankee Hut car park, on the old Boboyan road. It was then a hike across the bridge and then to "Pioneer" and "The Gallery". A lovely walk through cleared paddocks with lots of roos. From "The Gallery" just head west and you're there.

Take plenty of liquid (4 litres) and don't forget your lunch like I did.
