Geocache Description:

Easy walk with stiles to cross.

The Rife Walks.
This is a series of 16 caches on a circular walk around the Lidsey and Rybank Rifes. There are 14 traditional caches and 2 bonus caches. Clues to the bonus caches are included in each of the traditional cache log books. (Sometimes a cache will contain 2 clues).
The terrain is mainly flat but there are some stiles to cross. There are also two places where you will have to cross a railway line but visibility is good and shouldn't pose any problems.
Parking coordinates for this cache are in the car park in Yapton which are:
N50 49.159 W000 36.541.
The walk should take around 4 hours. Some of the footpaths can get very muddy especially in winter so we advise good walking boots or even Wellingtons. At the time of placing these caches most of the terrain was fine but there was one difficult area which we will advise on later.
The first part of the walk follows the old Arundel and Portsmouth Canal which ceased trading in 1855 and various bridges and artefacts still remain.

The cache is a small clip lock box with log book, pen and the usual swapsies.
