An island, two tombs, a legend
On a lone island off the north coast of Brittany, two granite crosses standing in the dunes resist the sea winds. A local legend tells that two celtic monks were buried there, that the two tombs slighly move toward each over every year and that the world will end when they'll touch!
In the alignment of the two tombs toward the sea, the horizon is marked by a cairn made of large blocks of granite. Behind the cairn lies the true secret of the monks.
We used a canoe to reach the cache's island at high tide but it is generally reachable by foot at low tide.

Une légende bretonne raconte que sur une île déserte sont enterrés deux moines celtes, que les croix de granit marquant l'emplacement des tombes se rapprochent imperceptiblement tous les ans et que la fin du monde adviendra lorsqu'elles se toucheront.
L'alignement des tombes vers la mer pointe sur un cairn de blocs de granit derrière lequel est caché le véritable secret des moines!
Nous avons utilisé un canoé pour atteindre l'île car la marée était haute mais à marée basse, en faisant attention aux horaires et coefficients, l'ile est accessible à pieds.
