vp4: With so much work happening in this area due to the new rail line and bridge about to be built this cache is being archived. I may resurrect it some time in the future.

Geocache Description:

We all know Sydney has a famous coathanger, Melbourne's Bolte Bridge and Westgate Bridge may be landmarks but not as impressive. This structure has more style than Melbourne's bigger and newer bridges and is tucked away where until recently many people were unaware of its presence. A bike/walk path now allows people to better inspect its grandeur and style.

A newer version has been built on its northern side but a good view is available from the cache location. The newer structure unfortunately has none of the style and grace of its older partner and obliterates its beauty. Another bridge will soon be built to the south probably blocking any decent view of the structure, enjoy it while you can.

The nearby temple and statue are also worth a look.

This is a new location for the cache as the original was muggled.

The cache itself is a screwtop container and is placed a little distance from the structure to allow a wholistic view. (Also keeps any security / trespassing issues at bay) Access can be from north or south and is provided by a walk / cycle pathway. Closer inspection can also be made from the path that continues underneath.

Hope you enjoy the hunt.
