George H. Stoner Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

peoplewatcher: I moved from western Washington 3+ years ago. This cache was surviving except for some "needs new log" mentions, which some helpful cacher would remedy. As long is it was still viable I was going to leave it alive. Unfortunately it appears that the container has had the top destroyed. Thus, I am archiving this cache. If a local cacher would like to take ownership, replace the container and reactivate it, that would be great, This is a nice spot on the trail.

Geocache Description:

This cache is located near the Green River Trail.

This is just off the Green River Trail near a marker placed to commemorate the donation of the land where this portion of the trail runs to the City of Kent. The land donation was made in 1974 from The Boeing Company in the Memory of George H. Stoner, a Boeing Vice President.

Cache was muggled early April 2009.
Cache was muggled again early April 2010.
(I'm seeing a pattern...)
Cache muggled for the third time November 2010. I like this spot so am replacing the container and keeping cache active.
Once again, cache disappeared - March 2011. Changed the cache container type to something that should be less attractive.

Please do not place geocoins or travel bugs into this cache, as the culprits may return (again).

03/06/2017 - This cache is now "Bring your own writing utensil". Pencil was puncturing bag, resulting in an unusable pulpy log. Please do not leave any trade items either, there really isn't much room here.
