Geocache Description:

A circular dog-friendly walk of under 3 miles, taking in a memorial to a familiar British institution.

The walk can be done entirely on footpaths - there is no need to enter or cross farmland. The footpaths can be very muddy though, so boots or wellies are advisable. The cache has been placed with the permission of The National Trust.

Street Parking: N 51° 23.728 E 0° 04.314 (Grid co-ordinates TQ 442683)
(There’s a sign here of which Scrooge would approve.)
From Little Thrift take the public footpath North towards Chislehurst.

Optional bonus question: This is not essential for finding the cache and there is no reward for a correct answer - only the satisfaction of getting it right. Email us (don’t post it in your log) with the answer to the following question.
What is the highly unusual (though appropriate) feature of this fairly common object?

Waypoint Five: N 51° 24.CH(L-C) E 0° 04.(A+J)BM
Nothing to find here, but this will put you on the right path.
On the way to waypoint six, there’s a point where ‘straight ahead’ would mean leaving the path and joining a bridleway. Either choice will bring you to the same place, but staying on the path may be marginally less muddy.

Waypoint Six: N 51° 24.F(F+K)(L-M) E 0° 04.FHJ
Again nothing to find, but you will be on the right path.

Cache: N 51° 24.CHK E 0° 03.B(L-J)F

From the cache return up the path 25 paces and turn left down to the bridge. At the far side of the bridge turn left and follow the path, with one right-then-left kink back to Waypoint One.
