Geocache Description:

A delightful three-mile bike ride on North County Trail will take you to this cache containing a Beanie Baby, a kaleidescope and a Charmander keychain, among many other items.

If you dislike steep bike trails, then the North County Trail is the one for you. Take exit 6 off 684 and proceed west along Rt. 35, which changes into Rt. 202, until you reach the parking area at: N 41.28623° and W 73.77023°. The parking is on the north side of 202 exactly on the border of Somers and Yorktown. Ride your bike or walk approx. three miles north to the cache site.

The cache is on the west side of the trail approx. 92 paces (~270 ft) beyond a bright yellow call box. After you pass the call box, the trail becomes covered with dense vegetation. Bordering the west side is an eight-foot embankment. In the summertime, the only way to get a reading from your GPS will be to stand on the embankment. The cache is in an official plastic Geocaching canister with a green lid, and is nestled between two rocks and covered by two rotted branches, on the west side of the embankment.

Digital cache coordinates: N 41.32606°, W 73.75830° (accuracy was +/- 22ft.)

Good luck and happy geocaching!
