Geocache Description:

July 19, 2008: ditched the "TB Stopover" part of the cache. I gotta admit it had turned into a prison: these bugs have to keep moving!!

Here are the directions for this Letterbox Hybrid cache (don't forget to bring the dog if you have one):

1) Find parking.
2) Walk north across the street at the stop light.

3) Turn right and walk towards the fence section with a small hot pink ribbon on it.

4) Look left up the hill towards the tower: that’s the direction you will want to walk next.

5) Walk aproximately 187 steps. (Everyone is different). Look to the left towards the Prince George Golf and Curling Club. The cache is immediately below the pink ribbon.

Mr. Snooks and I walked over to hide this one today. It is located very near the junction of Hwy. 16 and 97, the very central hub of Prince George, but should be accessed from the trail beginning at the coords listed above and not from the maintenance road. A bonus for this cache is that you can see the world-renowned Mr. PG from the cache site! Cool, hey?

Since this is a Letterbox Hybrid cache, if you want to find it that way then grab your stampbook, stamp, and leave your GPSr at home and use the hint instead. I really suggest that geocachers try finding one this way; it's fun!

There is a stamp inside the cache for your enjoyment if you have a book for stamping. If you have a personalized stamp please leave an imprint of it in the log book with your log entry. For more info on Letterboxing visit the Letterboxing website.

This is also a letter and postcard swapping spot which is known as Geo Post Office. Here is a great description of what a Geo Post Office is from the Cochrane Geo-Post Office (Thanks to Zonker&Co.);

A Geo Post Office is used to swap letters and postcards between geocachers!

Here is how it works:

This is one of many caches that have been placed around the world to hold postcards. Each postcard being sent will have a short message and a forwarding address on it. The address will contain the person's name that you are trying to send the postcard to, their home city, and a destination cache. The idea is to move postcards between Geo-Post Offices until they reach their destination. When you move a postcard from one place to another, let the person who it's being sent to know where you moved it to, because they might be near enough to go and pick it up. If you move a postcard from one Geo-Post Office to another, please move it closer to the city or cache!

You can use the following picture as a guide to the format to use when writing up a postcard address.

You can send any message you want to anyone you want!

How do you get started? Easy! Just write up your postcard and drop it in the Geo-Post Office!

If there are any postcards in the cache when you arrive, feel free to forward them on if you can. If not, don't worry, just leave them for the next cacher.

The cache is a regular sized ammo box. There is no swag in the cache, it is for postcards and trackables only. I have placed a stack of blank postcards in the cache for you to use. You can trade postcards if you wish.

Have fun!

This cache is no longer a "Travel Bug Safehouse". However, feel free to drop off or pick up as many or as few TBs as you want. The main thing is to keep them moving!!!!
