It's a long way, to the top, if you want to find this cache!
Welcome to Talatarang Mountain, located in the Budawang's.
The cache its self is about 650 metres above sea level, on an incredible 180º Lookout point.
The hike to the cache is not a stroll in the park! You're looking at a 14 km return journey through some pretty hairy terrain!This track can be very hard to see in some parts, so go where the cairns, yellow dots, or pink ribbon tell you to go!
The hike will be alot easier to do, if you camp...
The best place to camp, (where I’ve camped) is located at: S 35º 15.204 E 150º 17.161
and is a cave overhang with nice flat ground, which can easily fit a team of 8 (plus there’s a fireplace and drinking water about 900 metres away, located at:
S 35º 15.241 E 150º 17.651.) A tent will not be needed, as the cave overhang will protect you from the elements, a ground sheet, roll matt and a sleeping bag would suffice nicely. It's a 5km hike to the campsite from the carpark, and another 2 km from the camp to the cache.

There are some absolutely spectacular views at GZ and endless other places along the way, so if you take a camera make sure to take as many photos as you want!!
To find this cache, some useful things would be...
*A good wide, brimmed hat.
*Sunscreen.
*At least 3.5 Lt of water.(per person)
*A camera.
*A ground sheet, roll matt and sleeping bag.
*Good solid walking shoes.
*Lots of salt.(There's HEAPS of leeches!)
*A small medical kit. (just in case)
Watch out for the cliffs, and don’t go off the track!! Always look out for cairns (piles of rocks) if there is a junction in the track and there is a cairn near one of them, take that one!
Have heaps of fun looking for the cache, and remember:
Take nothing but pictures, leave nothing but footprints. (and you name in the logbook!)
