Second of 3 short 'tours' around some of Baths architectural delights.
The walk is all on pavement and should be handicap accessible but there are some fairly steep slopes to consider.
You are looking for a 35mm film canister.
IF YOU DO THIS AT NIGHT YOU WILL NEED A TORCH!
The co-ordinates above take you to an approximate start point in the centre of Lansdown Crescent.
Built by John Palmer between 1789 and 1793, It is one of the nicest and better known of the crescents in Bath. Built in a fantastic position overlooking Bath with fabulous views (Now partly obscured by the trees)to the south.
As you walk along the crescent you need to look around for the following information:
How many 'Arrow heads' are ther between no's 10 and 11: A
How many feet is to 'FC': BC
How many lanterns are there on the front entrances: DE
When you have found these proceed to the western end of the crescent and bear right which will take you into Somerset Place.
Some people do not regard this as a 'proper' crescent as it has neither 'Crescent' or 'Royal' in its name but I think it qualifies and has better views than Lansdown. However it belongs to Bath Spa University so you cannot live there!
It was designed by John Eveleigh and built in stages between1790 and 1830. Initially he built two semi-detached houses without curved facades and then added on crescent shaped wings on either side. Hence the reason for the very dominant central feature with the unusual broken pediment on top. Somerset Place was badly damaged during the air raids of 1942, and the central houses were gutted by fire - fortunately the facades survived. Look out for the very grotesque looking masks on some of the doorway keystones!

How many round 'View holes' are there on top of the western half of the crescent: FG
When you have done admiring the crescents you can work out the cache location
