Dieser Cache entführt euch auf einen mittellangen Spaziergang rund um einen Teil der Oberen Alte Donau. Auf http://www.alte-donau.info findet ihr einige Informationen über die Alte Donau inklusive vieler Gastro-Tipps.

Ihr könnt zwischen zwei idealen Startpunkten bzw. Routen wählen. Entweder bei der U6-Station "Neue Donau" (gegen den Uhrzeigersinn) oder bei der U1-Station Alte Donau (im Uhrzeigersinn) um die Obere Alte Donau. Ihr könnt die Startpunkte öffentlich oder mit dem Auto erreichen und der Rundgang ist mit dem Rad, mit Inline-Skates oder auch zu Fuß und mit dem Kinderwagen ganz leicht zu schaffen.
Am Ziel angekommen, solltet ihr euch fragen, woher der Saft kommt. Beachtet bitte, dass die Dose sich derzeit ein kleines Stück vom errechneten Final befindet. Dazu gibt es derzeit gesonderte Anweisungen unterhalb der eigentlichen Formel.
Bitte Vorsicht vor Muggeln!

This cache shows you the beautiful area of the "Obere Alte Donau", inviting you to have a middle-length walk along a few stages with questions to answer.
At http://www.alte-donau.info, you'll find a lot of information about the area, including many gastronomic tipps. And here you'll find a webcam: http://www.ycs.at/webcam/webcam.htm.
You can choose from two different starting-points and routes, depending on how and where you'll arrive. Start either at U6-station "Neue Donau" and walk clockwise or start at U1-station "Alte Donau" and walk counterclockwise around the "Obere Alte Donau" (which means „Upper Old Danube“ as opposed to the „Lower Old Danube“ eastwards from the Kagraner bridge). You can reach the starting-position by public transportation or by car. The task can be completed quite easily by bike, skates or walking, even with a stroller.
At the final you should ask yourself: where does the juice come from? Please pay attention to the additional instructions that you will find below the actual formula, as we needed to relocate the container. Please pay attention not to be watched by any muggels!
The container can and should be detached for easier logging!

ATTENTION: Because of ongoing reconstruction works, we had to move the container to another place. To find the cache, look for a "suspicious" structure about (g-5)*c*5 meters in southeastern direction of the actual final location. There you may enter the "room" and stretch upwards.

Birnersteig, nichtamtliche Benennung nach dem Birnerbad (Besitzer Birner). Die ehem. Müllerfamilie Birner betrieb/betreibt eine Bootsvermietung, zwei Badeanstalten und ein Gasthaus. The "Birnersteig" has been unofficially named after the Birnerbad (owner: Birner). The miller family Birner owned/owns a boat rental, two baths and a restaurant.
