Lietas Pond Park in Thornwood is a small Town Park in Mount Pleasant. When worked I less then a mile from here I'd sometimes eat lunch in the park. In the mid 90's I'd bring my son here to feed the ducks/geese, which is now posted as "DO NOT FEED THE WILDLIFE".
The parking area can be seen maybe 50 feet in off the main road. If you don't know it is there & do not look you won't know you drove past it.
There is a worn (not official ??)path from the sidewalk of the main road, BUT NO place to park on that road.
There is a playground that looks like it is being re-done a bit. I will change this when I see it is up & running again. There are picnic tables & benches all around, so in warm weather the MUGGLE FACTOR will be huge. Past the pond & playground is a baseball field, which might keep muggles distracted or create more of them.
The park & even the path are kid friendly BUT getting to the cache (last 10-20')are not toddler or stroller friendly
This cache is a blue caped (brand new specimen) container identical to the one I used in my Micro #3 (in Tuckahoe/Mt. Vernon).
There is a new Presidential Dollar Coin for the FTF.
The terrain is 1.5 except the last bit & it is maybe a a bit more then a 2.
