Preston Mill II Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

Lightning Jeff: I had a chance to stop by today and could find no remnants of the cache. Looking around, I decided I'd sure like to hunt a cache around this property, so I'll archive this and hope someone else comes up with something interesting.

Update 5.31.11: Apparently the log is still there somewhere, but the container is gone. If anyone else stumbles upon it, please CITO.

Geocache Description:

A short stroll at the site of the Preston Mill, now an undeveloped King County park.

The Preston Shingle Mill began operations in the 1890s, and continued through a series of fires and floods, until it finally ceased operations in 1992. King County purchased the site, which totals about 20 acres, in 1997. For further information about the history of the mill, see this article.

This cache replaces my original Preston Mill multi, which finally went missing. This is a 30 cal. ammo can, and I am not sure how long this one will last. Please keep an eye on kids at the cache site.
