Geocache Description:

Easy kid-friendly cache in Lewis Morris Park

Cub Scout Pack 228 - based out of Morristown NJ is a terrific group which enjoys camping and hiking in the great outdoors. The Scorpion Patrol (Webelos) hid this cache while learning how to use a compass and navigate using GPS.

Geocaching is a great way to teach children about the outdoors and how to navigate (and stay safe). We reviewed today what to do if you find yourself lost ("Hug a tree"), how magnetic north is different than true north, and that the shortest path between caches is usually not a straight line!

The cache is a 35MM ammo can - and should be a relatively easy find.

The Webelos hid this cache and hope you enjoy finding it. It's a very kid friendly cache - and stocked with a good assortment of items. Please trade kindly and remember - your logs will be read by 9 and 10 year olds!

Enjoy the cache!
