Sistema Automático de Transporte Urbano

SATU foi inaugurado em 2004 e, constitui um sistema automático de
transporte urbano, apoiado em viaduto de betão, sem condutor,
movido a electricidade por tracção a cabo.
O SATU
permite a movimentação de pessoas entre a linha de caminho de ferro
Lisboa-Cascais e, alguns dos mais relevantes pólos habitacionais,
empresariais e comerciais do Concelho de Oeiras, promovendo a
melhoria das acessibilidades e mobilidade das populações.
Horário de
funcionamento: diário das 08h00 às 00h30.
Capacidade: 74
passageiros de pé e 8 sentados.

SATU - Automatic Urban Transport
System
The SATU was inaugurated in 2004 and it’s
constituted by an automatic system of urban transport, rested
on viaduct of concrete, without driver, moved by electricity
and cable
traction.
The SATU permits the movement of persons between
the railroad line Lisbon-Cascais and, some of the most
prominent commercial, business, and housing poles of the
Council of Oeiras, promoting the improvement of the
accessibilities and mobility of the
populations.
Schedule: Daily operation from 08h00 to
00h30.
Capacity: 74 passengers stand up and 8 sat
down.
Vehicles rhythm: 4 in 4
minutes.
Maximum speed: 40 Km/h.
