Lehman's Loot Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

OReviewer: As there's been no cache to find for a long time or has had no owner response for at least 30 days, I'm archiving it to keep it from showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements.

Please note that if geocaches are archived by a reviewer or Geocaching HQ for lack of maintenance, they are not eligible for unarchival.

Geocache Description:

You will be looking for a small Lock-Lock container which contains some small trade items and a small FTF prize.

The idea of Geocacheing is to bring you to see something you otherwise wouldn't see. So with this in mind I thought of this little street in Germantown called Lehmans Lane. A highschool friend grew up a few doors down from the top entrance to Lehmans Lane and we used it as a shortcut on a regular basis. There wasn't any good places on the Lane itself to hide a cache without crossing onto private property so I did what I thought would be the next best thing. I placed the cache in a small corner of Fairmount Park that is across the street from the bottom entrance to Lehmans Lane. The parking Cords will place you at the top entrance, (really the only place to safely park for the cache) Plug in the cache cords from there and take a stroll down the lane. Aprox .12 miles to the cache. The top entrance looks like a driveway but its a real city street, built back in the days of horse drawn carts. Look for a small Green sign on the wall on the left hand side. And be sure to read the historical marker at the bottom.

The cache site itself is in the park. Aprox 50 ft off a main trail. A walking stick might be helpful but isn't a must. Please rehide well. Lots of dog walkers in the area.
