Hradešínský kostel
Hradešínský kostel tvorí již devet století neodmyslitelnou dominantu celé oblasti Ceskobrodska. Jedná se nejen o dominantu krajinnou - díky své poloze na výrazném návrší v nadmorské výšce 399 m.n.m. - ale predevším o dominantu s duchovním a kulturne historickým významem.
Jeho pocátky jsou spojeny s rozvojem rane stredovekého osídlení regionu a s ním souvisejícím upevnováním a šírením krestanství. Nejstarší období dejin kostela není bohužel dokumentováno žádnými zachovalými zmínkami v písemných pramenech. Mužeme se tak pouze domnívat, že nekdy na pocátku 12. století byl ve strategické poloze na vrcholu hradešínského kopce založen opevnený panský dvorec. Jeho soucástí se stala jednoduchá románská rotunda, která zrejme byla jedinou zdenou soucástí celého sídla. Hradešínský kostelík však sloužil i potrebám obyvatel okolních vesnic, takže již v raném stredoveku prirozene plnil i farní funkce.
Situace se výrazne zmenila nekdy v polovine 13. století, kdy se novým centrem svetské moci stal tehdy založený hrad ve Škvorci, kam, zdá se, presídlila šlechtická rodina, která puvodne obývala hradešínský dvorec. Kostel Sv. Jirí se tak po zániku puvodního dvora stal vyslovene farní svatyní, do jejíhož obvodu príslušely krome Hradešína i sousední vsi.

Jedno z vyhlídkových míst minete cestou ke kešce (Viewpoint 1), odkud je výhled na celou severní cást Cech. Za dobré viditelnosti je videt Ještedský hreben, Jizerské hory a Krkonoše. Další je na západní strane zdi kolem kostela, které nabízí netradicní pohled na Prahu "z ptací perspektivy" a výhled dál na západ na kužely Ceského stredohorí, na komíny Neratovic a Melnické elektrárny a daleko na obzoru na vysílac Buková nad Ústím nad Labem.
This chache will bring you on the top of hill in the village Hradesin. Apart from the ancient church of Saint George there are a couple of spots with beautiful outlook to west, north, and north-east. It pays off to come here when there is good visibility and with binoculars in a pocket.
The church of Hradesin has been making for nine centuries a strong dominant of the area of Cesky Brod. It is not only landscape dominant - thanks to its altitude of 399 meters above see - but mainly the dominant with spiritual and cultural importance.
The origins relate to the growth of erly medieval settlements in the region and to the connected spread of christianity. The earliest period of church's history is unfortunately not documented in any written sources. So we can only assume that sometime at the beginning of 12th century there was established a manor court, strategically placed on top of the Hradesin hill. One of its parts was a simple roman rotunda that was perhaps the only mason part of the whole court. Hradesin church provided the service to the neigbouring villages, and in doing so it naturally played parish functions.
The situation changed dramatically sometime in the middle of 13th century, when the center of the secular power moved to the newly established castle in Skvorec. And we assume that the noble family from Hradesin manor court moved there too. The church of St. George became purely parish sanctuary, which district covered Hradesin and surrounding villages.

One of the viewpoints is along the way to the cache (Viewpoint 1). From there there is a pretty outlook to the whole norhtern part of Bohemia. When there is good visibility, you can see the crest of Jested, Jizera hills and Krkonose (Riesengebirge). Another point is on the western side of the wall around the church and it offers interesting "bird perspective" view of Prague and then outlook farther to the west on the cones of Czech Middle-Hills, on the chimneys of Neratovice chemical plant and Melnik power plant, and far on the horizon even on the transmitter of Bukova over Usti nad Labem.
