Placed a stash today in Middleboro off Rocky Gutter Road. It's located in a
Wildlife Management Area operated by the state and open to all. Might not
look for the cache during shotgun week for deer, but it's very quiet right
now. The road is basically a rocky gutter so take your time driving in. The
road is dirt and rock!!! I thought I had found a remote location that would
be a challange, but after placing stash I found I was within 100ft of a well
used path. Many approach options (work the problem) some possibly swampy.
Great number of hollys in the area and will be loaded with summersweet and
swamp azalea next spring and summer. The cache is in a white screw top
container and can found under a stack of birch bark under a VERY large Yellow
Birch.
Lots of cool doodads ranging from herkimer diamonds quarried last
summer in NY to a Internet access device, Topo Envelopes,#6 bait holder
striper rigs, an arrow head (could even be real), pr. of batteries.. The only
thing lacking is a decent log book.. gotta couple of scaps of paper in there
for now but left a dollar in case someone wants to bring a little spiral. I
don't think the hunt will be as tough as I had hoped. The problem being you
can only get so remote in Eastern Massachusetts.
Good Luck'
Hunter
