Aproveito o facto do local ter ficado limpo, sem qualquer vestígios da outrora cache existente para arquivar-la.

Barra de Tavira - Barra do Cochicho

A cache encontra-se junto à Barra de Tavira, também designada de Barra do Cochicho, mesmo em frente de Tavira. O caminho para a cache acompanha o Rio Gilão e a frota de pesca artesanal que ai circula ou repousa, bem como extensas áreas de salinas, onde os perna-longa, pequenas aves que se assemelham a cegonhas em miniatura, se alimentam.
Também aqui se atravessa a Ria Formosa, que devido à sua proximidade oferece ainda ao concelho vantagens na pesca, possuindo Tavira o único arraial existente no país, o Arraial Ferreira Neto, que em tempos acolheu as famílias dos pescadores e os aparelhos da pesca do atum. O Arraial, agora transformado em hotel (Vila Galé Albacora), conserva um museu sobre esta antiga arte de pesca.

A sul desta cache, do outro lado da margem, encontra-se o troço da Ilha de Tavira mais humanizado, onde existem várias casas de veraneio, um parque de campismo e inúmeros equipamentos turísticos na área envolvente, incluindo vários bares de "pés na areia" já pelo areal adentro. Também é possível encontrar apoios locais para praticar actividades náuticas e até para realizar cruzeiros pela Ria Formosa. Na face da Ilha de Tavira voltada para a ria, a qualidade da água é boa e as crianças apreciam as águas mornas e mais paradas da laguna, bem como as estruturas que possibilitam os mergulhos em salto.
Atenção:
- As correntes junto à barra são normalmente muito fortes, sendo necessária cautela, especialmente na presença de crianças.

The cache is close to the Barra de Tavira, also called Barra do Cochicho, exactly in front of Tavira. The way to the cache folloies the River Gilão and the artisan fleet of fishing boats that sail or rest, as well as extensive areas of salt mines, where the leg-longs, small birds that looked like storks in miniature, feed themselves.
Ria Formosa is also present in here, that due to its proximity still offers to this place fishing advantages, possessing Tavira the only existing arraial in the country, the Arraial Ferreira Neto, who in times received the fishermen families and theirs fishing tuna devices. The Arraial, now transformed into hotel (Vila Galé Albacora), who keeps a museum of this old art of fishing.

The south of this cache, on the other side of the edge, it can be found, the most developed side of the Tavira Island, where some summering houses exist, a camping park and innumerable tourist equipment in the involving area, including some bars of "feet in the sand" spread along the beach. It is also possible to find local supports to practise nautical activities and to even carry through cruises in Ria Formosa. In the side of the Tavira Island, facing the river, the quality of the water is good and the children appreciate tepid and calm waters of the lagoon, as well as the bridges structures that make possible the jumping divings.
Attention:
The tides near the levee are normally very strong, so it's recommended special caution, mainly in the presence of children.
