Reservoir Ducks Traditional Cache
Avernar: My oldest and favourite hide. Unfortunately it is too high maintenance and will be too far to come out here often. It had a very good run.

Park at one of the two parking coordinates and walk over to the
cache. No climbing over anything required.
Halton's Scotch Block Reservoir was built in 1971. It provides flood control and low flow augmentation in the Sixteen Mile Creek watershed. For a nice scenic view visit in late spring, summer or fall during daylight hours. The reservoir is home to ducks and Canada Geese. The geese tend to stick around during the winter months and can be heard honking even at night.
There are no parking signs along that stretch of road. The two parking coordinates are where the signs end. It's a 200m walk from the north one and a 240m walk from the south one. The road goes down hill slightly from the south parking.
Please put the cache back exactly where and how you found it. Bring your own pen or pencil. Do not use stickers as they make the log too thick.
