Geocache Description:

Park at the listed coordinates and head for stage one.

Viewing the gallery won't hurt you...

Updated 4/24/24.   This nine stage multi takes you on a two mile walk on the well marked trails of the Collins Woodlot. Park at the indicated location and go west along Brick Kiln Road to the Falmouth Conservation Land trail head sign on the right.  Watch out for fast moving traffic as you cross the street and head into the woods to stage one.  Due to a recent land sale, the town has moved the trailhead around the corner to the Service Road and for removed the Conservation Land sign.  (You'll probably be happier parking along the road here in the obvious spots but low clearance cars should pick their spot carefully.)  They have however added additional trail markers (white vertical slashes) at frequent intervals.  The trails winds through the hilly erratic boulder strewn landscape, flowing up and down the pine covered sand dunes deposited by the last glacier.  Good fun.  It's been a while since the Woodlot was worked and trees of all ages and sizes fill your view.  You might want to check out the trail map here or in in the gallery.

The stage settings are all visible from the trail; some are right by it.  All but one of the stages now have a wooden coordinate marker and some have additional legacy ones.  The final is off the beaten path and requires a little bit of a bushwhack.   Unlike the micros, the cache is hidden on the ground but should be available in up to six inches of snow . When I checked today everything was reasonably near the coords except stage five (see big rock)  Use the hints.  The GPS coordinate "repeatability" is poor due to the terrain.  The terrain is full of twists and turns and elevation changes. You will get more elevation change during this cache than by walking the enitre east coast of Florida.  Sign the log, trade small goods if you like, and replace the cache as found. Enjoy the walk and the peacefulness of the woods.
