This is one of the three public access points to Chocolate Lake.
Chocolate Lake gets it's name from a Chocolate factory that was located on the N.E. shore in the 1800's. It is a man made lake with the levels controlled by a dam beside the Herring Cove Road. It has provided recreation for Halifax all year round,with swimming,boating,wind surfing during the summer and winter sports in season. cache is a true nano, bring a pair of tweezers or equivalent and a writing stick.
