The park is the site of the former Edgewater Inn, which opened in
1960. The supper club became a hot night spot. Boaters could moor
at the riverside dock and come up for food and entertainment. After
changing hands several times, the restaurant was closed in 1989.
The MPRB purchased the site in 1993 and worked with community
residents to complete a Master Plan for the park in 1996. This
summer three benches and a picnic table will be added to the park.
As funding becomes available, amenities such as bike racks, shade
structures, a drinking fountain, additional lighting and art
elements are planned. Amenities: Garden, Picnic Area, and Walking
Path
