I thought it would be fun to see how many new cache sites I could find near to Mills in my local area. These will include Watermills and Windmills, some still in use, some now used for other purposes. Most mills are sited in nice surroundings, so I hope you will enjoy visiting them. I will be adding new caches to this series over the next few months.
All the micros are hidden right on public footpaths. None of them will be very close to private houses. Some of them are near public highways, but many are along private roadways, with only footpath access. Please park considerately, and do not drive along any private roads to access the caches.
Leigh Mill – This is about ¾ of a mile north of Goddards Green. There is no sign of the actual water mill any more, but there is a beautiful millpond here. Sorry, but I cannot suggest any very nearby parking. There is loads of room to park at Goddards Green on the old, now unused, bit of road, but from there you would have to walk up the road.
