Easy to find traditional cache on your way up Doctor's Flat Road.
This spot has a nice view of the ACT and Canberra which is the
first (or last view) on this road. This cache is accessible via the
public road (don't believe the sign at the start of the road that
says it is a private no through road - it actually goes all the way
to Wee Jasper) but you will need to open and close a couple of
gates to get there. Continue on up the road to find Herca's Hume
Saw Mill. Be advised that the road does get a bit more adventurous
as you progress. Follow the road all the way to get close to Wee
Jasper which is great for a camping trip. The caves and fossils
around Wee Jasper are worth a look.
I have also added a photo or two of the first Wee Jasper fossils
that Herca and I found today with the boy. I reckon if you knew
what you were looking for around there you could find them all
day.
Cheers,
