Geocache Description:

A "Twixmas" excuse for a good walk, some Caching, lots of gossip, food, skittles (maybe), cider (or beer), coin spotting, bug swapping, and showing off your brand-new-top-of-the-range-Xmas-pressie-GPS!!! PLUS Secret Santa - a chance to get your hands on what you REALLY wanted for Christmas - only other Cachers could possibly understand!

(And a chance for bikermel76 to meet everyone she missed in the manic 15 minutes in Victoria Square in Birmingham!)

N.B. Twixmas is MoJoBrad's fab new word for the period 'twixt Christmas and New Year - nothing to do with chocolate, caramel and biscuit, sorry!

** EARLY LISTING - please check back frequently or 'watch' this listing for updates!!! **

09:00 CacheWalker Group Walk
Before the event we will be meeting in the village for a shortish (distance to be confirmed, probably 4-6 miles or so!) walk guided by wrighty. We will be taking in some of his brand new Caches - to be published specially for the event!

This will be the second CacheWalker Group Walk, the first was round wrighty's Many Steps Through Old Times series near Winchcombe, and was a great success! Group Caching is lots of fun, and having the Cache hider to guide you brings a whole new perspective to it!!!

12:00 - whenever! The New Inn, Willersey, Worcestershire
Hopefully we will have dragged ourselves back from the walk by noon!

On arrival at the pub please let Joe & Wendy know that you are here for the Geocaching event and you will be directed to the correct place!

Please note that Geodogs are welcome in the pub :D

13:00 Lunch
The New Inn will be laying on homemade leek & potato soup and chilli, with chips and crusty bread for us, at a cost of £5.95 per head. Please indicate in your log the number of people requiring food. bikermel76 will be coming round to collect your money on the day.

15:00 Secret Santa
If you wish to join in please purchase a Geocaching item (that you would want to receive!) for around £5.

On arrival please drop your (wrapped!) gift into Santa Cache's sack, and enter your name slip in the ammo can! Each present will be selected by Santa Cache and a recipient's name drawn from the Ammo can! PLEASE DO NOT ENTER YOUR NAME IN THE DRAW IF YOU DO NOT GIVE A GIFT, we don't want any disappointments at Christmas time!

16:00 GeoDog Secret SantaPaws
If you wish to join in please purchase a doggy item (that your GeoDog would want to receive!) for around £2.

On arrival please drop your (wrapped!) gift into Kai's bed, and enter your GeoDog's name slip in Kai's bowl! Each present will be selected by Santa Cache and a name drawn from the bowl!

17:00 Spot the Cache
Can you work our where wrighty has hidden his latest Caches? Check the map grid and pick your co-ordinates! See if you can find a nano, a micro, a small tupperware or a regular Ammo can! The bigger the Cache, the bigger the prize!

Claim your square by 5pm! (one square per person please!)

Fancy Dress
Fancy dress is optional, but feel free to wear your hideous Christmas Jumper from Aunty Flo! bikermel76 will of course be flashing...that is, her santa hat will be flashing!!!

Games!
Plenty of Geocaching-themed fun for all. Play Groundspeak's 'First to Find' card game or the 'Geoclues' board game.

Depending on numbers we will also have access to the Skittle Alley for a few games if anyone fancies it!

PLUS... Quiz sheets (thanks wrighty!)
Geocaching themed puzzles (for those who enjoy some cranial pursuits!)

Caches
As is traditional, new Caches will be released for the event, though if you want a chance at FTF you probably need to come on the pre-event walk! wrighty will also be hiding some additional Caches in the Childswickham area, for those that don't fancy a group walk, and schnarff & bikermel76 are likely to hide a few Cache and dashes in the village if you don't want a walk at all!

There are plenty of exisiting Caches in the vicinity too, and if you've never experienced a wrighty Cache (poor you!), trust me - you wont be disappointed! You are guaranteed lovely footpaths, fantastic views (though we usually miss them as we seem to do them in the dark, rain, fog etc!) and a great hide at the end. Be warned - wrighty does like to cause ABH with his Caches though!

(If you're not a CacheWalker regular you might not know that ABH stands for Another Blooming Hill - a phrase coined by bikermel76 after climbing up one too many! You simply can't do a wrighty Cache without tackling one!)

And for the kids...

CacheWalker
OK, OK, I know. You're all wondering what the heck CacheWalker is, right? Well, we're just a group of local (Glos, Worcs, Warwicks mainly) Cachers who enjoy walking, and we have a forum to chat about Caching and walks. We sometimes get together to go out Caching too. Caching groups seem to be more popular in America than here, but since we all enjoy walking to Caches more than most, it seemed sensible to share walks, routes, Caches etc. It's also home to the ever-growing SideTracked series.

Disclaimer: Please remember that walking can be a dangerous activity and all walks are undertaken entirely at your own risk. It is each walker's responsibility to ensure that the walk and the weather conditions are within their capabilities. CacheWalker, its Managers and Members accept no liability for any injuries, loss or damage that occur during the walk or the event.
