Ice Cake Pass Traditional Geocache
KPA2: Finally got over to check on this cache. We searched for a while, and the ammo can is gone. Probably not re-hidden properly and muggled.

Cache is along the Hudson, near the old ice shipping docks.
This is a beautiful walk along the Hudson River Trail from Upper Nyack: it's 1.25mi to the picnic area near the old Landing. Park here: N41-07.246 W73-54.673 at Nyack Beach State Park. (there can be a parking fee in season). Or you can park at the end of the old Landing Road behind Rockland Lake.
Up to the 1920, before refrigeration, ice used to be cut at Rockland Lake and hauled over the Landing Road to the River where it was loaded on boats bound for NYC. We placed the cache near the old docks down by the river. We saw a doe and 2 fawns at 20 yards while we were here, and it's georgeous in fall color.
Cache is a standard ammo box.
