PALÁCIO e PARQUE dos ANJOS
O Palácio Anjos é um edifício construído no século XIX,
encomendado por Polycarpo Pecquet Ferreira dos Anjos.
Foi a primeira imponente casa de veraneio construída de raiz, no
lugar de Algés, no advento dos novos hábitos de vilegiatura
marítima do século XIX.
Naquela altura, o edifício era parte de uma grande quinta,
conhecida por Vila e Parque Miramar.
Nos anos 60, foram destruídos grande parte dos Jardins e
a Capela, tendo a Câmara Municipal de Oeiras adquirido a
parte restante do Jardim e o Palácio.
Actualmente funciona ali o Centro de Arte Manuel de Brito (CAMB),
um jardim municipal (Parque dos Anjos) e um retiro para a terceira
idade, onde os mais idosos se reúnem para a prática de jogos e ou
o simples convívio.
No centro de arte pode ser apreciada a Colecção Manuel de Brito.
Trata-se de um importante espólio de arte contemporânea portuguesa,
reunido pela família de Manuel de Brito ao longo de décadas. O
centro de arte está aberto de terça-feira a domingo das 11h30 às
18h00. Na última sexta-feira de cada mês está aberto das 11h30 às
24h00.
No parque existe uma grande variedade de espécies arbustivas, no
centro deste está localizado o Palácio dos Anjos.
O parque está aberto todos os dias das 07h00 às
21h00.
A cache está escondida no parque.

ANGELS PARK and PALACE
The Angels Palace “Palácio dos
Anjos” it’s a building built in the 19th century, ordered by
Polycarpo Pecquet Ferreira dos Anjos.
It was the first imponent summer vacation house, built in the
place of Algés, in the advent of the new habits of maritime
villeggiatura of the 19th century.
In that time, the building was part of a big farm, known by “Vila
e Parque Miramar”.
In the 60’s, big part of the Gardens and the Chapel were
destroyed, the Town Council of Oeiras acquired the remaining of the
Garden and the Palace.
Currently an
art center functions there “Centro de Arte Manuel de Brito (CAMB)”,
a municipal garden Angels Park “Parque dos Anjos” and a retreat for
the third age, where the oldest get togheter for the practical of
games and or simple conviviality.
In the art center the Manuel de Brito collection “Colecção Manuel
de Brito” can be appreciated.
In this collection can be seen important Portuguese contemporary
art assets, congregated by the family of Manuel de Brito throughout
decades. The art center it’s open Tuesday to Sunday from 11h30 to
18h00.
Every month on last Friday it’s open from 11h30 to 24h00.
In the park exists a big range of shrubby species, in the center
of the park it’s located the Angels Palace.
The park is open dayly from 07h00 to 21h00.
