Butttercup: I did drop by the other day and find that the area where this had been hidden has been cleared up somewhat, leaving nowhere as a natural hide. I did look for a simple alternative, but have decided to archive this one. 68 visits, not too bad.

Geocache Description:

A further cheekygirls offering in the SideTracked series of caches. Cache is a micro with logsheet only, please bring a pen.

When one of the cheekies started work (over a quarter of Century ago) this was a "request stop"! If you wanted to alight at this station you had to tell the guard at Moor Street (and hope he remembered to pass it on!).

If you wanted to catch the train here you had to stand at the forefront of the platform and put your hand out like it was a bus!

This station was constructed in 1935, opened in 1936, for the many week-end travellers from Birmingham to Earlswood Lakes.
