I 1869 kom jernbanen til Aalborg,
dette fik kammerherren på Birkelse Hovedgaard til arbejde for en
jernbane til Fjerritslev. I 1874 lykkedes det kammerherren, at
samle så megen støtte til, at bygge en jernbane nord for fjorden.
At man afholdte et orienterende møde på Hotel Phønix i Aalborg, her
nedsatte man en komite der skulle arbejde videre med planerne. I
1897 indviede man den vestlige del af jernbanen mellem Fjerritslev
og Frederikshavn via Nørresundby.
Den vestlige del af banen fra
Fjerritslev til Aalborg var 52,7 km. banen krydsede Thistedvejen i
den østlige ende af Fjerritslev og fulgte i ca. 1½ kilometers
længde Mølleåens forløb, hvor den derefter svingede mod sydøst,
siden fortsatte den i en blød kurve, hvor den igen drejede mod
øst.
Aagaard Skov var det første
trinbræt ude på strækningen og var blot markeret med en jordvold i
terrænet som udgjorde perronen. Desuden var der et trinbræt signal
samt et navneskilt, der markerede, at netop her kunne man stige på
og af toget. Trinbrættet var af nyere dato og var anlagt i 1952.
Tæt ved trinbrættet krydsede en skovvej. En nabo til trinbrættet
har fortalt at før trinbrættet kom, kunne man stige på og af toget
alt efter, om personalet ønskede at stoppe.
På denne cach kommer man forbi
bagsiden af hr. Jakaas barndomshjem, Fjerritslev Østergaard! Hr.
Jakaas familie levede selvfølgelig også på godt og ondt med banen.
En lidt bizar historie fra banen er om bedstefaderen, som godt
kunne være lidt hurtig i vendingen og som altid fløjtede. Jens som
bedstefaderen hed, kørte engang ind i toget der netop havde afgået
fra Fjerritslev. Personer som dengang boede og levede klods opad
jernbanen, kunne nok næsten bedre tiderne for togets passage på
strækningen end personalet, som var ansat ved banen.
Det var vel det, der var skyld i at Jens mente nok at han kunne
køre over jernbaneoverskæring og videre ud i marken, for toget
skulle jo have passeret. Men desværre var toget forsinket.
Jens skulle jo nok have set sig lidt bedre for, men folk mente nu
alligevel at det helt var banens skyld for Jens havde jo ”fløjtet”
for afgang.

In 1869 the railway came to Aalborg, this was chamber master at
Birke Manor to work for a rail to Fjerritslev. In 1874 they managed
chamber master to gather as much support to build a railway north
of the fjord. At where held a briefing session at the Hotel Phønix
in Aalborg, here they set up a committee which would work on the
plans. In 1897 inaugurated the western railway between Fjerritslev
and Frederikshavn through Nørresundby.
The western part of the track from Fjerritslev to Aalborg was 52.7
kilometers. The railway crossed Thisted road on the eastern end of
Fjerritslev and came in about. 1 ½ kilometers Mølleåens (small
river) course, where the then swung southeast since continued in a
gentle curve where it again turned to the east.
Aagaard Forest was the first steps out on the line and was only
marked by a land of violence in the ground which formed the
platform. Moreover, there was a stepping-stone signal and a
nameplate, which marked that it is precisely here could board and
alight from the train. Step board was new and was built in 1952.
Near step board crossed a forest. A neighbor of the steps the board
has told the board before step came, we could board and alight from
the train, depending on whether the staff wanted to stop.
In this cach to get past the back of Mr Jakaa childhood,
Fjerritslev Østergaard! Mr Jakaa family living course for better or
worse with the railway. A slightly bizarre story from the track is
grand father, who could be a little quick off the mark and as
always whistled. Jens as grand father was named, drove off into the
train that had just departed from Fjerritslev. People who then
lived up block railways could probably almost better times for the
train crossing on the line than the staff who were employed at the
track.
That was probably what was causing the thought that Jens enough
that he could run the crossing and to the field for the train ought
to have passed. Unfortunately the train was delayed.
Jens ought probably have looked a little better, but people
thought now that the whole runway was blamed for Jens had "flute"
for departure.
