budete ovšem muset nejprve uspet na poli logiky. Tato cache je spíš
jen zahrívacím kolem, pro úspešné nalezení stací jen jednoduché
úvahy. Cache najdete na souradnicích 50°11.N a 14°42.E. K císlum N
a E snadno dospejete, pokud správne vyluštíte všechny vybrané
hádanky, které Šeherezáda dala králi. Jen dávejte pozor, abyste po
vyrešení každé hádanky pricetli (resp. odecetli) císlo, ke kterému
dospejete, k té správné souradnici.

mel pet ok. Chtel tech šest retezu spojit do jednoho velkého
kruhového retezu a zajímal se, kolik ho to bude stát. „No,“
odpovedel zlatník, „každé oko, které rozetnu a spojím, stojí jeden
stríbrnák.“ Otázka pro tebe, nejjasnejší králi: Kolik stríbrnáku
bude ta práce stát?“
Král odpovedel: „Šest.“
Mel pravdu? Možná ano, ale možná by se vše dalo porídit levneji.
Nejnižší logicky možnou cenu požadované práce vynásobte 15 a toto
císlo vezmete jako základ E.
Abdullah the Goldsmith
Scheherazade said to the king: “I’ve heard, that a customer once
brought six chains to the goldsmith Abdul, and each of those six
chains had five links. The customer wanted them all put together
into one large circular chain and asked, how much Abdul would
charge him for that. “Well,” said Abdul, “each link I break and
connect will cost you a silver coin.” The question, illustrious
king, is: “How many silver coins does the customer have to
pay?”
“Six,” said the king. And he might have been right, but maybe all
could be done cheaper. Take the lowest possible price for the
order, multiply by 15 and take the result as the starting value of
E.
Sindbád
Šeherezáda rekla králi: „Na jedné z lodí, se kterými se Sindbád
plavil, byl pres bok lodi prehozený žebrík, který mel pet prícek.
Prícky byly mezi sebou vzdáleny jednu stopu. Za odlivu voda
dosahovala na druhou prícku odspoda. Za prílivu morská hladina
vystoupila o dve stopy. Na jakou prícku voda dosahovala
potom?“
„To je jasné, na ctvrtou odspoda,“ rekl král. Byla to správná
odpoved? Pokud ano, prictete k E stovku, ale pokud máte lepší
nápad, stovku od E naopak odectete.
Sindbad
Scheherazade said to the king: “One of the ships the famous
Sindbad had sailed had a rope ladder tied to the side. The ladder
had five steps and the distance of the steps was precisely one
foot. At low tide the surface of the water reached to the second
lowest step. But when high tide came, the water level rose by two
feet. What step did it reach then?”
“That’s easy!” said the king. “The fourth lowest step.” Was he
right? If he was, increase E by one hundred. But if you have a
better idea, deduct one hundred from E instead.

Ponies
“One well-known sheik,” said Scheherazade, “had a lot of ponies.
Once, when asked, how many ponies he had, he said: “If you add a
fourth part of them to a third part of them, you will have ten more
than a half of them.”

Mezek
„Hasan mel mezka,“ rekla Šeherezáda. „Jednou se ho kdosi zeptal,
jak je ten mezek starý. Hasan odpovedel hádanou: „Za ctyri roky

Mule
„Hasan had a mule,“ said Scheherazade. „Once he was asked how old
the mule was. He answered with a riddle: „In four years he will be

druhý. „Já bych rekl, že je hnedý,“ rekl tretí. „To už stací,“ rekl
Hasan. „Alespon jeden z vás hádal správne a alespon jeden z vás
hádal nesprávne.“
Jakou barvu mel Hasanuv mezek? Pokud byl cerný, prictete k E tri
stovky, pokud šedý, pak dve stovky, a pokud hnedý, jen jedno

Mule II.
„Let us stay with Hasan,“ said Scheherazade. „Once he met three
boys and told them about his mule. „What colour is it?“ one of them

or brown. Now tell me, what you think, and when I think you’ve said
enough, I’ll tell you how well you did. Then we’ll see if you can
guess its colour.” “I’d say it’s not black,” said one boy. “I’d say
it’s either brown or grey,” said the other. “I’d say it’s brown,”
said the third. “That’s enough,” said Hasan. “At least one of you
was right, and at least one of you was wrong.”
What was the colour of Hasan’s mule? If you think it was black,
increase E by three hundred, if grey, by two hundred, and if brown,
by one hundred.

Camels
„Apart from the mule,“ said Scheherazade, “Hasan also had eight
camels. But during one unfortunate month, all but five of them
died. How many survived?”
“Three, that’s obvious!” exclaimed the king. “An absolute fool
would tell you this.”
As we already know, the king was a little too quick with his
answers. But if you think there was at least a bit of truth in his
words, take one hundred as the starting value of N.
Moudrý Hárun El-Rašíd
„Alí byl pravoverný muslim,“ vyprávela Šeherezáda, „a se svým
prítelem Ahmedem se vypravil na pout do Mekky. Jednoho dne se
zastavili v malé vesnicce na obed. Ahmed mel pet bochníku chleba a
Alí mel jen tri. Práve když se chystali k jídlu, pristoupil k nim
nejaký cizinec a rekl, že nemá žádné jídlo, ale že má peníze, a
zeptal se, jestli s nimi muže pojíst. Oba poutníci souhlasili a
rozdelili svých osm chlebu rovným dílem mezi tri lidi. Když se
najedli, cizinec jim podekoval, vyskládal na zem osm mincí stejné
hodnoty a odešel. Ahmed a Alí se ovšem zacali dohadovat, jak by si
peníze meli rozdelit. Ahmed navrhoval, že by si sám mel vzít pet
mincí a Alí tri, protože Ahmed prispel peti bochníky a Alí
tremi.“
„To zní jako spravedlivé,“ prikývl král.
„Jenže Alímu se to zdálo nespravedlivé. Tušil, že má nárok na neco
mezi tremi a ctyrmi mincemi. Protože se neshodli, prednesli svuj
spor moudrému kalifovi Hárunovi El-Rašídovi. Oba byli prekvapeni,
když vynesl svuj verdikt, ale s jeho zduvodnením museli souhlasit.
Kolik mincí po právu náleželo Ahmedovi a kolik Alímu?“
Pocet mincí, které po právu získal Ahmed, vynásobte deseti a
odectete od nej pocet mincí, které dostal Alí. Výsledek prictete k

The wise Harun El-Rashid
„Ali was a good moslem,“ said Scheherazade, „and with his friend
Ahmed he went on a journey to Mecca. One day they stopped at a
small village to have lunch. Ahmed had five loaves of bread and Ali
had three, but as they were about to eat, another traveler
approached them and said he had no food but he had money to pay for
it. He asked if he could eat with them, they agreed and divided the
eight loaves of bread equally among the three of them. When they
finished eating, the traveler thanked them, laid eight coins of
equal value on the ground and left them. Ahmed and Ali began to
argue how they should divide the coins. Ahmed suggested he should
get five coins and leave three to Ali, as Ahmed had five loaves of
bread and Ali only had three.”
“That sounds like a just solution,” said the king.
“But it didn’t sound just to Ali. He felt he should be given
something between three and four coins. As they weren’t able to
solve their problem, they brought it to the wise caliph Harun
El-Rashid. In the end, they were both surprised by his verdict, but
they had to agree it was only just. Now how many coins did he give
to Ahmed, and how many to Ali?”
Take the number of coins given to Ahmed, multiply by ten, and
decrease this by the number of coins given to Ali. Add the result
to N.
Jednoduchá hádanka

An easy question
“The last question may have seemed too complicated,” Scheherazade
