Välikankaan Kalmisto
Kaakkurin Välikankaan kalmisto on alunperin sijainnut saarella Oulujoen suussa. Maan kohoamisen myötä alue muuttui vuoden 500 vaiheilla Kempeleenlahteen pistäväksi niemeksi. Nykyisin matkaa meren rantaan on noin 2 kilometriä.
Kalmistoon kuuluu neljä hautaröykkiötä. Kalmisto tutkittiin kokonaisuudessaan 1987-88 ja kalmiston suurin röykkiö sisälsi seitsemän hautausta. Haudoista löydettiin yhteensä 12 miehen ruumiit, sekä aseita, työkaluja ja henkilökohtaisia esineitä.

Cemetery of Välikangas
Cemetery of välikangas in Kaakkuri has initially located on the island in the delta of Oulu river. Due to elevation of land area changed so that island joined to mainland somewhere during year 500. Nowadays distace to the sea shore is about 2 kilometers.
There are four stone heaps in the cemetery. Cemetery was examined carefully during 1987-88 and the biggest stone heap of the cemetery contained seven corpses. Total number of corpses found from whole cemetery was 12 and all the bodies were male. There was also found weapons, tools and personal items.
