All
Saints Banstead
All Saint's Church, Banstead was founded in Anglo Saxon times
and is mentioned in the Domesday Book. It was visited by many
medieval kings whilst staying at Banstead Manor. During its long
history, the church has undergone numerous alterations and the
current church was restored by famous Victorian architect, G.E.
Street. The stained glass West Window was produced in William
Morris's studio in 1892.
Today, the church is a member of the Banstead Five Churches. We
thought it was quite pretty, which is why we decided to add it to
the ever expanding Church Micro Series started by Sadexploration.
The cache has a log book but you will need to bring your own pen or
pencil. We've added a few micro churches for the first finders, but
can't claim to have made them ourselves!
Please take great care when retrieving and replacing the cache
as this area is very busy with muggles
If anybody would
like to expand to this series please do, we would just ask that you
could let sadexploration know first so they can keep track of the
Church numbers and names to avoid duplication
