Geocache Description:

Located by the cell towers at the top of the Tiger Mountain trail system

This cache is for mountain biking geocachers as you will have to make a long grueling climb to get up to the top of the mountain. Once you get there though the view is amazing! Park in either parking lots at the base of Tiger Mountain off of hiway 18. Get over to the main dirt road that runs up the backside of the mountain and start climbing. Once you get up to the fork in the road at about the 2.5 mile marker take a right and keep climbing. This is the fork that you would normally turn left on if you were doing the upper Tiger loop. Continue climbing to a point where you can take a left and go around a metal gate. You will need to climb some more and there might be some tree clearing going on right before you get to the very top. I would advise to hit this on the weekend or late afternoon due to the amount of heavy equipment moving around up there. The cache is fairly easy to find since the ride is such a grind. Here is what the cache contains:
  • A Sram derailler
  • A set of Sram gripshifts
  • A set of Tekpro brake leavers
  • A set of Shimano 747 pedals
  • An old patch kit from Sedona, Arizona
  • A seat post clamp
  • And various other odds and ends
Enjoy!
