Geocache Description:

Very easy microcache in the town of Jasper

This "almost a drive-up" micro-cache in Jasper townsite is on the owner’s private property, but can be reached without entering the yard. Jasper Friendly Dog (an SPCA special) patrolled this fence line for 15 years (and visited more than 1,000 geocaches in Canada & US of A. His successor, "Mike" a beagle(also an SPCA special)has taken over the patrolling duties and proudly wears a landsharkz trackable dog tag on his collar, similar to the one Mr Daps wore for 23 years as a Padre in the Canadian Forces. If you spot "Mike" and log trackable items, you might want to note his trackable code. This geocache is not the 1st, but it is the oldest traditional cache in Jasper National Park and was placed here to test the guidelines for geocaching in Canada's National Parks (2007 was Jasper National Park’s Centennial). No SWAG or trackables are to be placed in caches in Canada's national parks. Good caching!
