Geocache Description:

Rated a 3 in difficulty only because this is a night cache that requires the use of a strong flashlight to find the cache. Coordinates above are for the trail head and you must follow "fire tacks" to find the final cache location. Flat terrain with only slight bushwhacking.

Welcome to EMSDanel’s Geo Zoo! Have you seen the “Wlidlife Muggle’s” geocoins? The idea is that wild animals watch you place your caches and sometimes lug them off. So, I’ve enlisted the help of some local fauna to guard these caches. You are looking for an animal that is holding the log for you to sign. Although this animal would qualify as "regular" in size, the log container is micro in size so don’t worry about trading items. Bring a pen or pencil with you. PLEASE DON’T TEAR THEIR HIDING SPOTS APART and carefully rehide them when you are through. Kids of all ages….. Enjoy! This is the seventh exhibit in what I am hoping will be a fun, family oriented geocache experience. In the spirit of Geocaching, this would also be a great spot to bring someone to teach them about the sport and how to use a GPS. As the days go by I will be adding to the exhibits and making this sort of a geo petting zoo. The owners of this property live just down the road from me and have graciously given their permission to place some caches here. So when you see the signs that say “Access by permission only” you can assume that geocachers have that permission. Please be respectful of their land and practice CITO whenever possible.

You can park along Snow’s Corner Road (N 44.44.652 W 068.46.760)or on the southeastern edge of the access road where the gate/cable is, but please do not block the access road since trucks do sometimes come in and out. If you have any questions, I live in the brown house across the road.

For this exhibit you will need to walk along the access road past the Geo Zoo sign to the gravel area and then head northeast into a small field to find the trail head. Once you head into the trail follow the "fire tacks" to the cache. Walk to a fire tack then look for the next one and proceed. Same on the way out. Once near the cache you will be turning off the trail to find it.

One note: This is an area frequented by deer and many hunters. I will probably archive these during the month of November.
