This is an easy but historically informative cache in memory of Ben Kiehn who gave his life in service to the
Bessie Community.
This is a cammo container with articles about the bank
robbery. Frank Simpson and Fletcher Rickard robbed the bank on the 24th day of January, 1928. During the robbery,
the cashier of the bank, Ben Kiehn, was killed and Fletcher
Rickard was wounded and died later the same day. Simpson
escaped and was never caught. The granite cornerstones and
granite "Bank" stone are part of the Bessie Memorial Park.
