| Cette randonnée sur le coteau qui domine le Layon entre Pierre Bise et Saint-Aubin de Luigné est plutôt prévue pour être faite en voiture (il y a environ 5km entre le WP1 et le WP3), mais si vous êtes sportif et si les côtes ne vous font pas peur, le VTT est tout aussi indiqué et vous permettra sans doute de jolis raccourcis par lesquels une voiture passe difficilement. |
This hike on the hillside overlooking the Layon between Pierre Bise and Saint-Aubin de Luigné is rather planned to be done by car (there are about 5km between wp1 and WP3), but if you are sporty and if the coasts do not scare you, mountain biking is just as indicated and will undoubtedly allow you nice shortcuts through which a car passes with difficulty. |
1ère étape : Imprégnation (Pierre Bise)
Rendez-vous au WP1 (N 47°19.278 W0°37.082)
Vous êtes au milieu des vignes à l'intersection de deux sentiers. En direction du Sud-ouest vous apercevez au loin le clocher et les toits de Saint-Lambert du Lattay. A l'angle du champ que bordent les deux sentiers où vous vous trouvez il y a un groupe d'arbres bien serrés. Combien y en-a-t-il ? (comptez également l'arbre coupé) (réponse A). |
1st step : Feeling the country (Pierre Bise)
Go to WP1 (N 47°19.278 W0°37.082)
You are in the middle of the vineyards at the intersection of two trails. Heading southwest you can see in the distance the bell tower and the roofs of Saint-Lambert du Lattay. At the corner of the field bordered by the two trails where you are there is a group of tight trees. How many are there? (also count the tree cut) (answer A). |
2ème étape : Une belle propriété (Chaume)
Rejoignez le WP2 (N 47°19.286 W0°38.792)
Vous vous trouvez à proximité d'une grande grille blanche.
Un peu plus loin en direction de l'Est, une belle propriété se dresse au dessus des vignes (l'Echarderie). Combien de chiens-assis pouvez-vous appercevoir sur le toit ? (Réponse B) |
2nd step : Beautiful house (Chaume)
Go to WP2 (N 47°19.286 W0°38.792)
You are close to a large white grid.
A little further east, a beautiful property stands above the vineyards (the Echarderie). How many dormers can you see on the roof? (answer B) |
3ème étape : Panorama (Moulin Guérin)
Rejoignez le WP3 (N 47°20.000 W0°40.103)
Et maintenant vous avez droit à une superbe vue sur toute la région. Il vous faudra monter à l'intérieur de la tour du vieux moulin pour regarder la table d'orientation qui indique la distance (en km) et la direction (en degré) d'un grand nombre de lieux.
Cherchez la ville de Cholet. A quelle distance se trouve-t-elle ? (réponse C). Quelle est sa direction ? (réponse D). |
3rd step : Landscape (Moulin Guérin)
Go to WP3 (N 47°20.000 W0°40.103)
And now you are entitled to a superb view of the whole region. You will have to climb inside the tower of the old mill to look at the orientation table that indicates the distance (in km) and direction (in degree) of a large number of places.
Look for the town 'Cholet'. How far is it ? (answer C). What is its direction ? (answer D). |
Vous n'êtes plus loin du but et vous pourrez vous y rendre à pied depuis le moulin en quelques minutes... à condition de bien ouvrir les yeux et d'être futé.
La formule qui donne les coordonnées de la cache est la suivante :

W 0° (C+5).(300xA + 22xB)
De là vous aurez une vue superbe sur Saint-Aubin de Luigné.

Je ne devrais pas avoir à le dire, mais respectez les lieux s'il vous plait. Cette cache se trouve sur un terrain privé avec l'accord du propriétaire. Quelques déchets sauvages m'ont valu une remarque justifiée. Il serait dommage que je sois contraint de la retirer |
You are no longer far from the goal and you can get there on foot from the mill in a few minutes... as long as you open your eyes and are smart.
