The cache is not at the listed coordinates - this is a Squirrel
mystery offset. It is best done during the day. Remember, it is a
mystery - so hush on what you on see.
Today was a magic winter's day - clear air, warm sun, stumps,
hollows.
Ah - sun! Throughout the ages, humans have worshipped it. We still
play and live in it's light. After rain, to tell us there will be
no more great floods, the sun will cast a rainbow high in the sky.
It brings us warmth directly. Now we are trying to figure out how
to efficiently harness it as a clean source of electricity - yep,
green power.
To locate WP1 (Question to Answer), you will have to solve the
puzzle below.
WP1 Checksum: S 36 E 44
At WP1(question to answer)
On the sign there are two rows of words in red letters.
Let A,B,C,D,E be the numbers of letters in each of the words on
the first row.
Let F,G be the numbers of letters in each of the words on the
second row.
Calculate GZ
S 35 1E.(F-D)(G-C)(D+F-C) E 149 06.(A+B)(C+D)(E-D)
Update 6 August 2008: The site is still
being re-developed, and the sign has moved away from
puzzle-calculated WP1 coordinates. To correct this, add 0.020 to
South and 0.021 to East coordinates. If you really can't see
the sign, send me the coordinates for WP1 and I will send you the
necessary clues or the offsets to the GZ.
Hope you have some fun with this puzzle and find the object at WP1
interesting. In fact - explore around here and you will find a
smaller one which is easier to get up close and view.
