Geocache Description:

FTF: 4frenchfrys

This is my favorite lake for Kayaking - in sections you are looking at houses, in other areas you almost feel like you are in the wilderness.

There are already two caches on islands, so I thought I would put one on this 'other' thing. It may be an island, it might be an Isthmus or a Peninsula - or it might be something else. If you think you know what it is, write it in your log - I may have to change the cache name!

Morris Lake Isthmus

It might be possible to walk to this cache, especially in the winter, but maybe all year round, i'm not sure - I took a boat. Walking may involve bushwacking and private property.

Boat access to Moris Lake available at:

The Birches Park - Portland Estates N44 39.927 W63 30.923 or
Kiwanis park on Caldwell Road N44 38.968 W063 29.490

July 2011 update. Replaced the small container with a regular sized Peanut butter jar. Should be semi-winter friendly.

WINTER NOTE: this is a cache that people may want to hike out to once the lake is frozen. PLEASE ENSURE ICE THINKNESS IS APPROPRIATE BEFORE TRYING TO HIKE OUT TO THE ISLAND IN THE WINTER Happy Caching!
