Velkommen til Greve Kommune...


 

Byvåbnets historie 

Byvåbnet har fungeret som Greve Kommunes våben siden 1973. Det er i sin oprindelige form udført af våbenmaler ved De Kongelige Ordners Kapitel, Aage Wulff.

Byvåbnet er opbygget efter de heraldiske principper (læren om våbenmærker).
Baggrunden er blå, og det symboliserer kommunens beliggenhed ved Køge Bugt.

Skjoldmotivet symboliserer en væveknude (Hedebo-knytning), og den kan være udført i hvid eller sølv. Den specielle knude stammer fra Hedebo-egnen, som Greve Kommune er en del af.

Cachen er placeret et meget centralt sted i Greve i en lille skov med udsigt til Rådhuset. Brug den lille sti (se waypoint) for at komme nemt ind til cachen.

Denne cache er en af en serie, der har til formål at sætte fokus på det nye danmarkskort efter kommunalreformen i 2007. Der er cacher i alle 98 kommuner og de 5 regioner. For at finde landscachen "Danmark" (GC12ARJ) skal du bruge koderne fra de 5 regions cacher. For at finde en regionscache skal du først finde alle kommunecacher i den region.

The town arms has functioned as Greve town arms since 1973. It is designed  by Aage Wulff, arms painter of the Royal Danish Order.

The town arms is made from the Heraldic principals. The background is blue, and symbolises the municipals location by Køge Bay.

The motive on the shield symbolises a weavers knot, and it can be either white or silver. The special knot comes from the Hedebo area, which Greve municipal is a part of.

The cache is placed a very central place in Greve. It is in a nice small forest with a view to City Hall. Use the small path (see waypoint) to get to the cache easily.

About the cache

This cache is one of a series, which purpose is to focus on the new map of Denmark, after the reform of the municipals in 2007. There are caches in all 98 municipals, they contain a code which is necessary to find the 5 region caches. To find a region cache you must find all the municipal caches in that region. To find the final cache: "Danmark" (GC12ARJ) you must find and use the codes, from the the 5 regions caches.
