This is a two step cache. Go to the co-ordinates listed to obtain information on how to get new co-ordinates for where the cache actually is. All the info you need is in the Mt Carleton Park Guide
After spending a week camping at Mt Carleton Prov Park, NB and doing some geocaching, my Wife and I decided to leave one ourselves. It's in a historical area and the info you need is all in one place.
To calculate the final co-ordinates for the cache:
a) Take 30 X the height (in metres) of Mt Carleton
b) Then subtract (height of Mt Bailey (in metres) - 400)
c) Divide your answer by 1000 to get the Latitude minutes
d) Take 100 X the height of Mt Sagamook (in metres)
e) Then subtract the number of seconds for a return trip on
the Bald Mountain Brook Trail
f) Now subtract (the year Thomas Carleton was born + 48)
g) Divide your answer by 1000 to get the Longitude minutes
