Dieser Cache führt euch zu einem schönen Industriebau aus den 1920ern, der momentan leider nicht im besten Zustand ist. Damals brauchte die Konsumgenossenschaft Dresden eine neue Fleischwarenfabrik, und den Wettbewerb dafür gewann der - nicht so berühmte- Architekt Kurt Bärbig. Sein Entwurf schmiegt sich m.E. sehr harmonisch der geschwungenen Form der Fabrikstraße an, und die Ecke mit dem Turm ist einfach wunderbar gelungen. Auch der Flachbau gegenüber passt gut dazu. Eine wie ich finde tolle Verbindung von Zweck und Form.
Heute steht das Gebäude leider leer. Der dazugehörige flache Teil auf der anderen Seite wird von einer Kartbahn genutzt.

With this cache I'd like to show you a beautiful industry building from the 1920s, which is in rather poor conditions right now. The retail co-operative Konsumgenossenschaft Dresden needed a factory building for meat production, and the competition was won by the - not so famous - architect Kurt Bärbig. Imho his design follows the curved form of the street in a formidable manner, and the corner with the tower is just wonderful. I see this as a great combination of form and function.
Nowadays the building unfortunately is unused. The low building on the other side of the street, which belongs to the complex, is occupied by a kart racing track.
