Located off of West Side Road. The road can be muddy and rutty when
it rains. Altitude is 7,600 ft.
If you are out searching for Starman's West Side Road series, drive
a short distance from his #2 cache and find a neat surprize in the
woods! We parked at N32 49.207 W105 50.050 which was 1.1 miles from
where we parked to find Starman's cache. The cache is .13 miles
from that location. However, we looked on a map and saw that if you
park at the junction of Burleson Ridge and Long Ridge, the cache is
approximately 400 ft into the woods. The container has a log and
pen, and a couple of small items, including a trackable digital
fish. Note: The original cache was muggled so we went there today
(4/12/08) to replace it. When we got there, we found that the
Forestry Service had done a LOT of tree cutting and it's a huge
mess! We also noticed that they've made it a "permit firewood
cutting area" so if you need any firewood, that's the place to
go:-) But it will be a hundred years before enough people go there
for firewood and clear out that mess. Because it's now practically
an obstacle course to get to it, we've changed the "terrain
difficulty" from a 1.5 to a 2.5. The new container has a log, a pen
and a few small trade items.
