Geocache Description:

Be the Genealogist is a series based on my other hobby. It's a hobby that I enjoy doing, so much so, that I decided to allow other geocachers to get a taste of it. Although these caches are all puzzles, none are meant to be extremely difficult.

In addition, I decided that since I like hiking, I'd create some long ones. All the hikes in this series will require at least a half mile hike (as the crow flies), each way, to and from the cache.

This is one of six of the initial caches, that will lead to the final cache, for a total of seven caches. In order to get the final cache, there's a question related to the series finale on the inside cover of each container. Bring something to write on and with, to record the question, or take a picture of it. Answer all 6 questions, and you'll know where the final is.

The coordinates aren't where the cache is, rather it's a good suggestion for parking. The cache is located along the Bull Run-Occoquan trail

Genealogists use a code to equate surnames that sound alike. For example "Smith" and "Smyth" will have the same code. Below are the coordinates written in this code. Good Luck.

Remember, bring something to write on, to capture the question for the finale.

If you have any problem with the puzzle, or the coordinates, or any part of the cache, email me, and I'll help/fix any issues.

Thanks to MGSGAGAG for passing along and painting most of the containers for this series.

This Cache series was voted Best Series in NOVAGo's 2007 cache awards!
