Located in NJ along the Delaware River. Terrain and hide are both easy. Our first cache.
At one time there were four Delaware River crossings at and near Portland Pa; The DRBC bridge for auto traffic, the DRBC foot bridge, the Lehigh & New England Railroad and The Lackawanna Cutoff. All but one still stands! The Lehigh & New England Railroad crossed the Delaware River in Portland, PA on a single-track combination deck-truss/deck-girder bridge. This bridge was dismantled in 1966 but there still remain three piers. You will find the cache near one of these piers. The cache includes a FTF Geocoin prize and a bag of goodies to trade. Please replace as found this is a high traffic area with many mugglers. The initial cache container was an ammo box it was changed on 6/1/11 to a pill bottle container.
