Geocache Description:

A nice short multi with the final not too far away from the rest of the waypoints.

Another one of Lil Mama's (GCT436) progeny (except due to a muggling, the new container is now not a Lil Mama container). This one is a nice quick multi cache involving a walk around City Hall and was placed for visitors and locals alike to enjoy. The location is that of the first of the four statues that you need to visit: ----A. The Migrants - Originally in front of the old city hall, this sculpture now located on the west side sparked quite a bit of controversy in its day. Derogatorily (or affectionately) also known as the Spaghetti Tree. ---- B. Caravel - An stainless steel canoe shaped sculpture that I find quite fascinating and stands out as you drive by the north side. ---- C. Madonna of the Wheat - Until I started this cache I didn't realize this sculpture existed on the east side just in the front. It commemorates all pioneer women of Alberta. The plaque tells more about the Ukrainian cultural influence. Unfortunately this statue has disappeared with the changes to the area so the year this statue was placed was 1981 so you can complete the multi. ---- D. Lunch Break (or Lunchbox Joe) is South of City Hall in Sir Winston Churchill Square. He is one of the most photographed and enjoyed sculptures in the city. When visiting each of these sculptures write down the last 2 digits of the year the sculptures we created or dedicated as noted on the plaques on the sculptures. The cache container is found at the following location: N 53 32.(A + B + 569) W 113 29. (C + D +386) where the letters are the last 2 digits of the year from the statues and is less than 4 blocks from one of the statues. The final is a travel bar soap container. As the construction of the arena area threatens the previous location and a few other good locations I had a real headache finding a place that was not swarming with muggles or was "iffy" and still be in the vicinity of City Hall. The GPSr will float around a lot in the area of the final so the hint is pretty broad. All of the information can be found on the Internet if you really want to but I hope you take the time to actually do the tour.
