This used to be the swimming beach on Spring Lake back in the early 1960's. Just imagine all the people soaking up the sun and swimming here. Heck, back then there was even water in the lake, something that seems to be a little lacking these days. If you were a teen like Grey Wolf was in those days, you may have even driven by and honked the horn at the girls in swimsuits. When Spring Lake Park built the beach across the lake, people still kept using this as the unofficial beach until it was posted "Keep Out. No Swimming. Dangerous area. Broken Glass" (The signs are gone now). I looked all around and didn't see any broken glass in the sand, so maybe it was all in the lake. Keep your eyes out, just the same. Who knows, but you would never know it was a beach some 40+ years ago.
